Cormac Trainor - #18 5'   145lbs   Defender Belfast, Ireland Signed: Summer 2003

Another of the lookalike players on the Mel's Angels squad, Cormac could likely pass for a family members of Paul Scholes (pictured to the right). In fact, rumour has it that Cormac has actually entered and won a Paul Scholes lookalike contest.

Cormac joined the team on a free transfer for the Summer 2003 Mel's Angels squad after an ultimately disappointing season with the Mixed Nuts the previous year (beaten in the 2002 Grad League Final by Calpain United). His transfer paid off immediate dividends as he fit in immediately with the defensive unit, and indeed, along with Gord ("The Big Xtra"), "BigMac" became half of the Supersize Combo of fullbacks.

Cormac does not present a huge offensive threat, especially with his 5' height, but is dominant in the air, heading home one goal during the season, albeit into the wrong net.

Cormac was sent to a team in Dublin, Ireland on loan for the fall and winter seasons of 2003/04, but will return early in the 2004 Mel's Angels season.
